This is a poster and an accompanying flier for one of my favorite bands of all time, Queen. This was made in Adobe Illustrator by using the pen tool to trace over the band members' faces, and by using the image trace tool to trace my drawings of Mars, the bicycle, the heart sunglasses, and the rocket ship. Each image was inspired by a certain lyric, song, or accessory. Because John Elton loves to wear his heart sunglasses, I chose that item to represent him. The rocket ship and Mars are both inspired by the lyrics I'm a rocket ship on my way to Mars from the song "Don't Stop Me Now". The bicycle was inspired by Queen's song "Bicycle Race". Everything on the poster has a significant meaning, including the text. For example, the date of June 12 signifies pride month, since Freddie Mercury was bisexual. My hope was to create a unique poster that catches the eye's attention, and I think I completed that goal. There are a few things I would do differently, like make the band members' faces match the color scheme. Altogether, I really liked this project and what I learned from it.
